We’re looking for a motivated, self-directed intern to help support Piedmont Environmental Alliance's busy Spring events. The intern will send marketing and outreach emails, track information on spreadsheets, plan logistics and programs for upcoming events, and participate as team member at events like the Piedmont Earth Day Fair, Environmental Debate Tournament, and more.
The internship has a flexible schedule (10-15 hours a week), with half of hours in our downtown Winston-Salem office space.
Timeline: January - End of April 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Send emails, make phone calls, and have meetings to secure community support, sponsorship, and partnership for upcoming events and programs.
- Track information in systems to support team collaboration.
- Help plan major events, including programming and marketing for the Annual Piedmont Earth Day Fair.
- Support other organizational priorities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with community outreach - including emails and phone calls to local businesses and organizations.
- Computer, social media, and internet savvy. Bonus for working knowledge or experience with canva.
- Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivated, and attentive to details.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental and social issues a plus!

Compensation:
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
