Green Business Network

Take the boldest climate actions possible by joining PEA's Green Business Network and achieve sustainability goals that are impactful, economical, and tailored to your company's mission and bottom-line.

Are you a business owner who wants to join us to create a more just, resilient, and sustainable Piedmont Triad? We'll help your business create a unique sustainability road map, provide the resources and expertise to help you achieve your targeted sustainability goals, and connect you with a local network of  peers to help amplify your impact.

How it works.

Local small businesses and nonprofits join our annual cohort of network members. PEA's expert staff then partners with members to create an actionable sustainability roadmap for their business. Membership includes:

Planning: We help craft impactful sustainability goals tailored to your business, along with plans to achieve them
Coaching: We check-in formally twice a year to evaluate progress, adjust plans, and celebrate achievements
Expertise: We provide access to curated digital resources and info sessions to maximize your sustainability efforts
Connection: We connect you with other green businesses in-person and online through members-only social events and our Green Business Peer Network
Collaboration: We facilitate partnerships with network peers to advocate for local business-friendly sustainability policies and initiatives.
Impact: We recognize your membership, promote your sustainability efforts, and amplify your achievements through our website, social media feeds, and in our digital newsletters.

PEA is currently recruiting new members to join our 2026 Green Business Network cohort. Contact PEA’s Green Economy Program Coordinator Richard Sebastian at richard@peanc.org to learn more about the program and pricing.

What We've Achieved Together

With support from PEA, Green Business Network members are setting new standards for sustainability leadership. From rooftop solar and electric vehicles adoption to native habitat restoration and beyond, our network members are proving that environmental stewardship and financial stewardship are one and the same.

And while each member holds their own sustainability and climate justice goals, collectively our network aims to reduce our aggregate carbon emissions by 50% by 2030. In 2024 alone:

+1.7MW of new clean energy capacity
+2.2M pounds of CO2 avoided
23 network members certified
>$2.1M federal dollars captured for partners
