Gateway Nature Center, 1200 S. Broad St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127

Join Gateway Nature Preserve naturalist/educator for a winter walk through the Gateway Nature Preserve. You'll learn about identifying common Piedmont trees when leaves are not present and get an up-close look at important tree features, such as bark and twig structure. We'll explore varied terrain, including the Salem Creek Greenway and the Forest Discovery Trail, to look for clues left by animals.

A fun event for families and individuals alike! Please dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes.

Please park in the lot behind Family Services, 1200 S. Broad St. The walk will begin adjacent to the parking lot, at Gateway Nature Preserve.
