Join Sierra Club of North Carolina for a Medoc Group Monthly Meeting presentation. Lake Mattamuskeet is North Carolinas largest natural lake, over 40,000 acres, a treasured resource that is under stress caused by sea level rise. The resulting salt water intrusion is harming the freshwater fish population. Dr. Randal Etheridge, Associate Professor of engineering of the ECU School of Engi-neering will present a power point review of the problem and solutions that can be implemented to correct the salt water intrusion that is hurting the lake.The meeting will start with pizza, subs, and refreshments served.
