Parkway United Church of Christ will host an introduction to permaculture and its principles. The experience will include hands-on activities on the Parkway property which demonstrate some of those principles. Alyssa McKim, trainer with the Greensboro Permaculture Guild and faculty member at North Carolina A&T will guide the workshop. After exposure to the concept, ethics and design principles of permaculture, and how they influence our ways of thinking about social interaction, the group will spend time outside planting companion plants and working to mitigate storm water runoff. Wear gardening clothes, hat, and shoes and bring a water bottle. There’s a suggested donation of $15 to help defray the cost of this workshop.
