We’re looking for a motivated, self-directed intern to support Piedmont Environmental Alliance's financial and administrative operations this spring semester. This intern will communicate with Piedmont Earth Day Fair sponsors, update donor information in PEA’s tracking system, process payments, mail thank you letters, and manage PEA’s online community calendar.
The internship has a flexible schedule (10 hours a week), with half of hours in our downtown Winston-Salem office space.
Timeline: January - April 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Contact Piedmont Earth Day Fair sponsors and help track sponsorship details
- Record payments in PEA’s donor management database
- Send thank you letters to donors and sponsors
- Manage PEA’s online community calendar
- Other organizational priorities as needed
Qualifications:
- Comfortable with community outreach - including emails and phone calls to local businesses and organizations.
- Computer and internet savvy, with an interest in fundraising platforms and processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental and social issues a plus!
We are looking for you, if:

- You’re interested in exploring the behind-the-scenes operations of a local non-profit organization.
- You have a personal passion for the outdoors, environmental stewardship and sustainability, and have taken action to get involved in the issues you care about.
- You are a current college student or recent grad looking for an opportunity to connect with the community and give back.
Compensation: This is an unpaid volunteer position.
