We’re looking for a motivated, self-directed intern to support Piedmont Environmental Alliance's financial and administrative operations this fall semester. This intern will support the Fall Membership Drive, research sponsorship opportunities, update donor information in PEA’s tracking system, process payments, mail thank you letters, and manage PEA’s online community calendar.
The internship has a flexible schedule (10-15 hours a week), with at least half of the hours in our downtown Winston-Salem office space.
Timeline: September - November 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Support Fall Membership Drive outreach and tracking
- Research potential local sponsors
- Record payments in PEA’s donor management database
- Send thank you letters to donors and sponsors
- Manage PEA’s online community calendar
- Other organizational priorities as needed
Qualifications:
- Comfortable with community outreach - including emails and phone calls to individuals and local organizations.
- Computer and internet savvy, with an interest in fundraising platforms and processes.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental and social issues a plus!

Compensation: This is an unpaid volunteer position.
