Join this group hike sponsored and lead by Piedmont Land Conservancy. The guided hike will travel along the Ashley Ladd Trail that leads to the Lake Hampton Dam. We will begin at the main parking area at 1142 Crystal Ln, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Parking is available at the trailhead. Meet near the boat rental house in the main parking lot.
The group will hike from the main trailhead to the dam and back with a short side trip to a peninsula view point. Total it will be approximately 4 miles and mostly flat. The hike will take between 2.5 to 3 hours. The trail is mostly shaded and features some views of Lake Hampton, beautiful flora and fauna, and the impressive dam. This trail is considered moderate.
The outing is open to the public but is limited to 30 people.
