Join Yadkin Riverkeeper for the Great Yadkin Riverkeeper Earth Day Cleanup. Sign up as individuals or as a group to hold a cleanup anytime from Saturday, April 8th through Saturday, April 22nd.
Yadkin Riverkeeper is so appreciative of all the ongoing highway, river, lake and stream clean up projects being done by many volunteer organizations throughout the Yadkin River watershed. To recognize these volunteer efforts and incentivize the Great Yadkin Riverkeeper Earth Day Cleanup, YRK will be offering cash prizes as follows:
1) Most trash collected - First prize = $100, Second Prize = $75, Third prize = $25
2) Most volunteers - First Prize = $100, Second Prize = $75, Third prize = $25
To be eligible for the prizes, please register your cleanup with Yadkin Riverkeeper here and return your YRK Cleanup Reporting Form detailing the amount of trash collected and number of volunteers involved. You will also need to submit photographic evidence of volunteers and trash collected to info@yadkinriverkeeper.org. Documenting the impact of the Great Yadkin Riverkeeper Earth Day Cleanup will help YRK demonstrate the impact of volunteers on keeping our waterways clean and the tremendous need to prevent littering and illegal trash dumping.
