This month Murry Burgess of North Carolina State University will be presenting "A Light in the Dark: Examining the Effects of Light Pollution on Avian Health"

As urbanization spreads, the amount of artificial light polluting the night sky steadily increases. In humans, it has been shown that artificial light negatively impacts our health and circadian rhythm - the same is true for birds. This talk will examine the impacts of light pollution on bird health and developments and include some aspects of citizen science to show what we can do about it.
