Capital Group Event - Wildlife Corridors in NC

February 18, 2020 -
6:30pm to 8:30pm
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh, Founder's Hall, 3313 Wade Ave Raleigh, NC 27607

Join Capital Group for their monthly event to learn from featured speaker, Ron Sutherland of Wildland Networks, about how the green spaces in the Triangle area connects to the rest of North Carolina and even the rest of the continent. What laws are in place to protect these wildlife corridors and core habitats, and what more do we need to get our local officials, state general assembly, and even Congress, to do in order to preserve the diminishing wildlife?

Speaker's bio: Dr. Ron Sutherland leads the development of new habitat connectivity models for the southeastern U.S., and coordinates efforts to map the entire Eastern Wildway. He also directs an extensive camera-trapping project in the red wolf recovery area in North Carolina, and is an enthusiastic public advocate for red wolf conservation.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, but event officially begins at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided. Please click here for more information.
