2021 Western NC Strawberry Preplant Meeting

July 26, 2021 -
9:30am to 3:00pm

Join NCSU for this exciting workshop. Whether you are thinking of farming, a next generation on the farm adding strawberries, or an established producer of strawberries, this workshop will offer an overview of current strawberry production ad marketing in Western North Carolina.  We'll look at pre-plant production considerations such as weeds, erosion, fertility and more.  Produce safety for strawberry growers will also be covered. You will get to visit a local farm and see various equipment used in strawberry production.  The workshop will begin at TRACTOR food hub with a look at their operation where they have a facility to aggregate fruit and vegetables from the region.
