Enjoy a walk on the Forest Discovery Trail and in the pollinator garden at Gateway Nature Preserve during the beautiful evening hours. See the flapping of bats, spot a silhouette, or hear the Barred Owl’s call and witness other nocturnal critters come to life to forage and hunt for food. Use your senses to help locate these and other native wildlife as the sun sets and twilight settles, bringing in the glimmer of the cooler summer night air. Individuals and families are welcome to attend, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is free, but registration is required. Please park in the lot behind Family Services, 1200 S. Broad St., Winston-Salem. The walk will begin adjacent to the parking lot, at Gateway Nature Preserve.
