Green Home Tour Planning Committee

The Green Home Tour is a NEW idea to provide a vision and build momentum around green homes and sustainable landscapes. The tour will feature 5-10 homes in Winston-Salem that have at least one GREEN element, for example solar panels, electric car/charger, or a sustainable landscape/garden. Guests can purchase a ticket to receive a map to engage with the tour. Homes will have volunteers on site to disseminate information for how to adopt green practices.

Environmental Educator

PEA is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help teach our innovative environmental education programs in Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County middle schools. Environmental Educators must be comfortable speaking in front of a classroom and have availability during school hours. We will provide all training and match you with a seasoned educator to support you.

Community Engagement Committee

PEA is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers and leaders to join our Community Engagement Committee. This committee meets monthly to develop and implement actions that promote environmentally sustainable policies and practices in Winston-Salem. Specific roles include: Writing letters to the editor, attending City Council meetings, and recruiting businesses to adopt sustainability practices. Sign up to join us today!

PEA is searching for marketing professionals, media experts, graphic designers, social media gurus and other enthusiastic volunteers to join the PEA Marketing Committee.
