Appalachian Voices is a regional environmental nonprofit working to protect the central and southern Appalachian mountains and transition the Southeast to a cleaner energy future. Since coal related pollution poses the largest threat to the region, this is where our focus lies. We are working to end mountaintop removal coal mining, prevent new coal-fired power plants, and hold polluters accountable.
