His 2004 critically acclaimed album Empty Spaces, produced by Grammy-nominated Mark Williams, features 13 original songs that celebrate rural life and its simple delights.

The Unbroken Circle, Old Time Band

Known for its energetic, up-tempo live performances, this Winston-Salem band’s lineup that includes five talented musicians from backgrounds ranging from old-time to jazz to punk. They consider themselves an “Appalachian punk band," but have broad appeal to people who enjoy punk rock, old-time, bluegrass, and rockabilly. The Woodies were voted best band in the Winston-Salem Journal Readers Choice Poll.
